Suri Herdsires
Pachamama's MacLuster
MacLuster was born on our farm, October 8th, 2002. He is half Peruvian,
quarter Accoyo and half Bolivian, his grandfathers are Bruxo and Lumino,
an excellent herdsire at Alpacas of America in his time. His sire is MACGYVER,
2003 Herdsire of the Year.
MacLuster has the calmest and sweetest temperament of any alpaca I have
known. Excellent conformation, teeth, lock structure and sexual attributes.
This is not just our opinion but the opinion of many excellent judges,
among them Amanda Vanden Bosch, Susan Tellez, Mike Safley, Mary Reed,
Maggie Krieger and Julio Sumar.
MacLuster was shown in Estes Park in 2001 and then five more shows in
the spring of 2002. From these six shows, which are the only times he
was shown, he won the following:
1st Place AAA Futurity and Color Champion
1st Place - Estes Park - Championship class not offered
1st Place and Reserve Champion - Phoenix
1st Place - Utah - Championship class not offered
2nd Place and Reserve Champion - Santa Fe
1st Place Get of Sire - Santa Fe
1st Place Owned and Bred - Santa Fe
2nd Place - AOBA National Conference
All of MacLuster's crias are colored from brown to beige even ROSE GRAY!
All have been suris.
MacLuster is co-owned with Suri Peak Alpacas in Colorado where he stands
at stud most of the time. Their facilities and care are excellentI
don't think any finer place to leave your dam for breeding could be found.

Cortez, a MacGyver son, with Durazno on his dam's side is full Peruvian,
half Accoyo. Cortez was purchased from a ranch that didn't show except
for one time and at that show judged by Amanda Vanden Bosch, he took first
and Reserve Champion. Cortez has density, great lock structure, nice topline,
good teeth and again, as with many MacGyver offspring, the sweetest temperament.
And presence, just take a look at his photo!
